The Zoning Board of Adjustment consists of 7 regular members and 4 alternates. The Zoning Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday and fourth Wednesday (IF NEEDED) of the month at the Municipal Building 627 Pinewald-Keswick Road, Bayville at 6:30 pm.

The Basic Variance fees are as follows:
35-11 VARIANCES:
- Hear and decide application appeals – $100.00.
- Interpretation of Zoning Map and Ordinance – $100.00.
- Variances involving pools or additions or modifications to an existing residential dwelling $450.00 for the first variance, plus $50.00 for each additional variance.
- Hardship variances involving new residential construction on undersized lots and all nonresidential hardship variances – $2,000.00 for the first variance, plus $250.00 for each additional hardship variance (i.e., per dimension, lot, unit, etc.)
- Other variances under N.J.S. 40:55D-70c – $500.00.
- Use Variance – residential or nonresidential – $1,500.00, plus $250.00 for additional variances.
- Conditional Uses – $1,500.00.
- Building permit in conflict with official map or building permit for lot not related to a street – $500.00.
- Erection of a structure on an unimproved street pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-36 of the Municipal Land Use Law – $1,750.00, plus $250.00 for each additional variance.
- Construction of a Fence – $150.00.
- Any and all other types of variances or design waivers not already covered – $250.00.
